On
October 31, 2002 CVIC SE held a press conference in Beijing
with E5 Systems, which is an advanced application management
company, headquartered in the U.S., to establish a strategic
cooperation to exploit the international software market.
Mr. Jing Xinhai, President and CEO of CVIC SE, Mr. Liangquan,
CTO of CVIC SE, Mr. Zhu Fengming, Overseas Business Director
of CVIC SE, Mr. Gordon Brooks, President and CEO of E5 Systems,
and George Lu, President of E5 Global Outsourcing, all attended
the conference. Mr. Chen Chong, Chairman of the Executive
Council, Chinese Software Industry Association, was also invited
to the conference.
Mr. Jing Xinhai said, "Due to China's
entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO), the China
domestic market has become an indivisible part of the international
market. It is necessary for China's enterprises to speed
up the internationalization process in order to survive
in the sharp market competition." He continues, "It
is a win-win cooperation between CVIC SE and E5 Systems.
E5 has a broad global market and a strong software industry
background. And it has also gained a good understanding
of the resources in China and can serve as an outstanding
bridge that links CVIC SE to the mainstream software outsourcing
market - the U.S. market."
Mr. Gordon Brooks said, "China has
always been a key part of the E5 vision as we believe that
in the near future, China will be the worldwide leader of
global sourcing. China will make this a reality by adopting
U.S. application management processes, which will greatly
enhance the abilities of Chinese IT resources to compete
and win globally. E5 will help lead the way." He added,
"CVIC SE has the deep software expertise, knowledge
of business-specific systems, world-class technology, and
a fundamental understanding of the discipline needed to
manage enterprise applications, which makes this a compelling
partnership."
Mr. George Lu said, "E5 has the right
outsourcing model for China, which combines mainstream U.S.
application management engagements with vast and deep China
resources to seamlessly make large-scale outsourcing invisible
to clients. The cooperation with CVIC SE will provide E5
Systems with a delivery network of highly skilled, business
savvy application management resources with domain and vertical
expertise. CVIC SE's resources are fully trained and integrated
to provide global outsourcing services through E5's delivery
model. "
According to the cooperation agreement,
CVIC SE and E5 Systems expect that the software exports
value will reach a record US$100 million in five years.
